The church has implemented a vocational skills training program in coffee shop management to empower underprivileged youth in the community with knowledge, skills, and income-generating opportunities. The project focuses on developing vocational skills alongside instilling discipline, responsibility, and a positive work attitude. Project Implementation: Youth received both theoretical and practical training covering basic coffee knowledge, equipment usage, preparing various beverages, cost calculation, pricing, customer service, and maintaining hygiene standards. Following the training, the youth gained hands-on experience in the church's coffee shop, with close guidance from staff and mentors. This allowed for experiential learning and boosted their confidence. The results showed improved coffee brewing and customer service skills, enhanced teamwork abilities, and increased responsibility. The coffee shop generates supplementary income from selling beverages at church and community events. Next-stage plans include developing advanced skills such as shop branding, online marketing, and financial planning to enable the youth to pursue stable careers in the future. The church and all the youth sincerely thank all donors and supporters. Your support has provided underprivileged youth with vocational training that can generate income and strengthen their lives. May God bless you and your family, and may you receive the joy of witnessing the positive changes in the lives of these children and youth through this project. With deepest gratitude and appreciation. Blessings, The team from the Wasotha Church Child and Youth Development Center Project.
This project aims to empower youth in highland and remote communities by providing essential vocational education and practical skills development. Many young people in these areas are motivated to pursue honest careers like barista or healthy juice producer but lack access to the training, knowledge, and tools needed to turn their aspirations into reality.
The initiative focuses on delivering training in professional coffee brewing, equipment maintenance, cost calculations, and nutritious beverage preparation. It also provides necessary equipment such as coffee makers, grinders, blenders, juice extractors, and raw materials—key resources to help transform skills into sustainable livelihoods.
External support not only equips youth with concrete skills and tools but also demonstrates societal solidarity, encouraging community growth and improving their quality of life. Ultimately, this project helps underprivileged youth become active contributors to their families and communities, fostering long-term development and empowerment.
