Date Posted: 02/21/2026
The church has implemented a vocational skills training program in coffee shop management to empower underprivileged youth in the community with knowledge, skills, and income-generating opportunities. The project focuses on developing vocational skills alongside instilling discipline, responsibility, and a positive work attitude. Project Implementation: Youth received both theoretical and practical training covering basic coffee knowledge, equipment usage, preparing various beverages, cost calculation, pricing, customer service, and maintaining hygiene standards. Following the training, the youth gained hands-on experience in the church's coffee shop, with close guidance from staff and mentors. This allowed for experiential learning and boosted their confidence. The results showed improved coffee brewing and customer service skills, enhanced teamwork abilities, and increased responsibility. The coffee shop generates supplementary income from selling beverages at church and community events. Next-stage plans include developing advanced skills such as shop branding, online marketing, and financial planning to enable the youth to pursue stable careers in the future. The church and all the youth sincerely thank all donors and supporters. Your support has provided underprivileged youth with vocational training that can generate income and strengthen their lives. May God bless you and your family, and may you receive the joy of witnessing the positive changes in the lives of these children and youth through this project. With deepest gratitude and appreciation. Blessings, The team from the Wasotha Church Child and Youth Development Center Project.
About the Cause
Posted by TH0384 in Thailand on 08/05/2025
This project aims to empower youth in highland and remote communities by providing essential vocational education and practical skills development. Many young people in these areas are motivated to pursue honest careers like barista or healthy juice producer but lack access to the training, knowledge, and tools needed to turn their aspirations into reality. The initiative focuses on delivering training in professional coffee brewing, equipment maintenance, cost calculations, and nutritious beverage preparation. It also provides necessary equipment such as coffee makers, grinders, blenders, juice extractors, and raw materials—key resources to help transform skills into sustainable livelihoods. External support not only equips youth with concrete skills and tools but also demonstrates societal solidarity, encouraging community growth and improving their quality of life. Ultimately, this project helps underprivileged youth become active contributors to their families and communities, fostering long-term development and empowerment.

How the church will sustain the Cause
Impact Sustainability Plan: Maintaining the Long-Term Effectiveness of Healthy Coffee and Drink Brewing Training Without Relying on External Funding Our church is committed to ensuring that the benefits of vocational skills training—specifically in healthy coffee and beverage brewing—are sustained over time through internal resources and community engagement. This plan focuses on creating a self-reliant model that minimizes dependence on additional external funding by implementing the following strategies: 1. Dedicated Oversight and Leadership A full-time church staff member is appointed to oversee the youth vocational skills club. This individual is responsible for guiding the training activities, monitoring progress, and continuously developing relevant and adaptive training programs to meet the evolving needs of the youth. 2. Infrastructure and Equipment Maintenance The church allocates internal funds to develop and maintain essential facilities, including training classrooms and equipment such as coffee makers, grinders, and brewing tools. These investments transform the church’s space into an ongoing learning environment that supports continuous skill development. 3. Fostering Shared Responsibility and Ownership Participating youths are actively involved in maintaining equipment, planning production schedules, and managing distribution processes. A portion of the proceeds generated from their products is reinvested into the program to cover maintenance and future improvements, fostering self-reliance and ownership. 4. Promoting Community and Parental Engagement The church encourages community members and parents to participate in activities, providing support and shared ownership. This inclusive approach strengthens community ties, enhances local ownership, and ensures ongoing support for the program’s sustainability. 5. Long-Term Vision and Commitment By embedding these activities within the church’s ongoing programs and fostering a culture of shared responsibility, we believe that the positive impact of vocational training will endure. The program aims to empower youth, develop local economic opportunities, and create lasting change within the community— all without dependence on external funding sources. Through these comprehensive internal approaches and community involvement, the church is dedicated to ensuring the sustained success and continued positive impact of the vocational skills training program.
