About the Cause

Centro de Desarrollo Integral El Bethel

Posted by Centro de Desarrollo Integral El Bethel in Dominican Republic on 12/17/2025

From a young age, the mother was interested in the beauty industry. At 12, she took an acrylic nail course, but it all began during the pandemic when she became pregnant. Due to the situation in the country, the economic situation became very difficult, forcing her to move in with her mother, her husband, and their child. After the pandemic, with her very young baby, she started doing nails at home to help her family. She found herself in a very lonely situation, which became her motivation to start her own business. She went out to do nails with her baby, and little by little, her business grew. She bought materials and managed her finances to get ahead, running her home-based business. As it grew, she decided to add a small extension to improve the quality of service for both her and her home, contributing to her income and growth.
