About the Cause

In this community, many families face unstable income and limited job opportunities, even though local food resources are available. Children and youth often grow up without practical skills in food preparation, processing, or small business management, which makes it difficult for families to create steady livelihoods. As a result, some are pushed to leave the community in search of work. At the same time, there are small efforts already taking place. Some parents are preparing and selling simple meals each day, using a few hours to cook and sell food in front of the school and at the market. This shows that there is both willingness and potential, but the current scale is limited and cannot yet support more families. To build on this, a learning and training space will be developed where children and youth can learn practical skills in food production, processing, and small business management. They will take part in preparing local foods, learning how to manage simple sales, and understanding saving and responsibility in daily life. Through this, families will be able to strengthen what they are already doing, while children gain skills they can carry into the future. The goal is for families to create more stable income from what they already have, remain together in the community, and build a more secure and hopeful path forward.

The church will provide a place for food processing, supply packaging equipment, educate families on saving, and help them find sources of raw materials, markets, and sales.

How the church will sustain the Cause
Families will continue working together through small groups that support food production, sales, and savings, creating shared responsibility and ongoing participation. These groups will manage simple financial systems, allowing income to be reinvested into materials, tools, and future activities. The church will support the formation of savings groups that families will contribute to and manage themselves, building a sense of ownership and accountability. Over time, these groups will expand and support additional families, allowing the work to grow naturally within the community. Children and youth will continue practicing the skills they have learned alongside their families, strengthening habits of responsibility, honesty, and cooperation. As these practices become part of daily life, the community will continue generating income from its own resources without relying on external support.
