About the Cause
Posted by TH0414 in Thailand on 05/20/2026
In our community, many families depend on agriculture as their primary livelihood, including growing crops, raising livestock, and fish farming. However, during harvest season, there is often an oversupply of produce that cannot be sold all at once. This leads to falling prices, food waste, and significant income loss after months of hard work. As a result, some parents are forced to leave their homes in search of more stable employment elsewhere. This program addresses these challenges by equipping families with practical skills to process their agricultural produce into value-added products that are easy to store and sell over a longer period. These include baked goods, dried produce, and fruit juices, enabling families to generate income even beyond the harvest season. Through this initiative, families work and learn together—processing, packaging, and marketing their products. Children and youth participate in a safe and guided environment, gaining valuable life skills, teamwork experience, and a stronger sense of responsibility.

How the church will sustain the Cause
The church and families use the food supply to support daily needs and build stable income, covering small costs such as materials and basic repairs. The church also helps families find local solutions and encourages savings for farm maintenance. As families become more stable, they begin to support others by sharing skills and resources, allowing the impact to grow naturally without dependence on outside support.
