In our community, many families earn their living through wage labor and raising livestock such as cows, chickens, and pigs. During periods of low prices, some animals are abandoned, leaving families without income after raising livestock for several months. Sometimes parents have to leave home to find more stable work elsewhere.
This program aims to help families who cannot leave the area seek alternative income sources by providing pig farming opportunities. Families can raise pigs as breeding sows to produce piglets for sale, providing them with additional income beyond their daily wages. They will also learn and work together in caring for these pigs, and youth will be safely involved, receiving guidance and learning useful skills and work experience.
Over time, this will alleviate income shortages, strengthen family income streams, and help families appreciate what they are already doing.
The Church develops the quality of life for children and youth by using the Word as the foundation for development. It promotes the development of families, children, and youth so that children and youth can positively impact their communities and society.
