About the Cause
Posted by TH0414 in Thailand on 04/14/2026
This project aims to create experiential learning opportunities for 30 children by providing a healthy, safe, and conducive learning environment. By raising laying hens, the children will gain hands-on experience that enables them to develop essential skills in cost management, while ensuring a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for the chickens. To implement this initiative, we will need to construct a chicken coop and acquire 100 laying hens, along with necessary chicken feed and feeding equipment. As the children learn to manage the hens and generate income from selling the eggs, they will be motivated to foster not only their well-being but also their families' happiness. Additionally, the project encourages children and their families to explore raising other animals, such as free-range chickens and ducks, promoting a positive family lifestyle and teamwork. It aims to alleviate food shortages and income challenges while creating employment opportunities for at least five families, contributing to a warmer community atmosphere and strengthening familial bonds.

How the church will sustain the Cause
After the project's implementation, the church will establish a savings system derived from egg sales. We will support children’s families in raising their own laying hens through targeted training and funding sourced from the project’s savings initiative. At least five families, each managing 30 chickens, will be empowered to produce eggs for their own consumption. The church will provide essential training and hands-on experience in systematic saving for families involved in chicken raising. Additionally, we will educate them on marketing and sharing their eggs, encouraging families to expand their poultry efforts to include native chickens and ducks, thereby creating more income opportunities. We plan to further share knowledge through the local poultry farming network and pursue partnerships for financial support to enhance livestock farming. This approach will enable families to expand the project and achieve greater self-reliance
