About the Cause
Posted by TH0414 in Thailand on 04/20/2026
Many children in the community are affected by family drug abuse and do not have a safe or structured place to spend their time. Although many of them are interested in football, they lack access to organized training and guidance to help them grow in a positive direction. If we expand our program for sports at our church, more children will be able to stay engaged in a healthy activity that keeps them away from drug-influenced environments. They will build discipline, teamwork, and stronger daily routines. Families will begin to see positive changes in behavior, and children will become more connected to supportive peer relationships. Our church will expand our football classroom where children receive regular training in football skills, teamwork, and discipline. The church will organize consistent practice sessions and small competitions to keep children involved and motivated. To make this possible, the program will provide footballs and training equipment, simple coaching materials, food during training, transportation for competitions, and uniforms for matches. This will allow 20 children to participate fully and consistently while also receiving ongoing anti-drug teaching and community support.

How the church will sustain the Cause
Our church will maintain consistent training sessions so children always have a stable place to gather, stay active, and be guided in positive routines. Families, volunteers, and community members will gradually take part in supporting and helping run the activities, so responsibility is shared and the program is not dependent on one group alone. The church will also build relationships with local businesses and community partners to help support ongoing needs such as football equipment, uniforms, food, and transportation for competitions. Over time, this program will remain a shared community space where children can keep returning to football, stay away from harmful influences, and continue developing in a healthy direction.
