We are deeply grateful to our donors for their generous support of the sewing team at FCP. Thanks to your help, 28 caregivers both men and women are participating in the sewing training program, gaining valuable skills with confidence, dignity and independence. To implement this cause, we established a tailoring center, hired skilled sewing teacher, and purchased all necessary materials such as sewing machines, practice cloths, threads, needles, scissors, and irons. We have no delays on this cause, some tailors have already begun applying their skills by working near their homes. We firstly planned to buy a generator for electric sewing machines, as our area lacked electricity. However, local government planned to provide electricity by the end of this year, we adjusted our priorities, we discussed with our PF, and funds were redirected to purchase sewing machines, cloths for practices. The tailors are for both the Church members and the community. They are mastering practical skills like operating sewing machines, changing needles, cutting clots, and sewing various shirts models. This initiative promises long-term benefits for both individuals and community development. One inspiring story talks to Anitha, a mother and new tailor, who shared how learning to sew has transformed her life. With her skills, she is sewing clothes for neighbors, earns a small income that support her family financially. Her experience shows how cause support and empower individuals of the communities.
The tailoring centre is a valuable initiative. This cause will enable the promotion of toiling skills among underprivileged youth and caregivers within the Child development centre. This initiative will generally address the high unemployment rate in the community, offering training, mentorship, and access to sewing and tailoring equipment. This cause will be an ongoing activity at FCP that aims to engage and benefit the youth and broader community while allowing FCP staff, committee members, and church leadership to monitor its progress.
To be a model church in transforming the lives of children, youths and caregivers and have Christians who are spiritually mature in a better community.
