About the Cause
Posted by EAR Nyakayaga CDC in Rwanda on 11/07/2024
This center will benefit eight caregiver associations skilled in various trades, including sewing, shoemaking, bag making, welding, roofing, hairdressing, soap and cosmetic oil production, weaving, and pig farming. Additionally, a youth group operating a canteen and selling bread will also use the center. Having a single location for these groups to work will simplify their management and the guidance provided by the church. It will foster collaboration, streamline operations, and improve market access for their products, ensuring the sustainability of their activities. By working together in the Craft Center, these groups will enhance their economic growth, enabling them to address challenges affecting themselves, their families, and their communities. This initiative will contribute to broader societal development, benefiting the country and supporting the church’s mission to uplift the community

How the church will sustain the Cause
The Church has taken significant and proactive measures to protect and support these group activities, demonstrating its commitment to their success and sustainability. It has already provided specialized training for members, with ongoing programs to enhance their skills and knowledge. The Church is also facilitating the formal registration of all groups with private government agencies, ensuring their legitimacy and access to opportunities. To strengthen governance, the Church has established committees for each group and trained members to work effectively with financial institutions, empowering them to manage funds and access banking services. An employee has been appointed to monitor group performance, ensuring accountability and security. Additionally, the Church actively promotes the groups’ activities and fosters collaboration with other stakeholders to expand their impact. By continuing to provide guidance on equitable and effective management, the Church is fostering sustainable development for all members, creating a foundation for long-term success.
