About the Cause
Posted by Centro de Desarrollo Integral El Bethel in Dominican Republic on 01/23/2026
The idea to start this business came from a desire to help her daughter, who had three children who were sadly orphaned by their father. Faced with a difficult economic situation, the woman decided to start small by selling food, establishing her own business to help support her family and improve their economic situation. The children's mother has lupus and currently works pulping passion fruit to help the grandmother with the children. Sales are very slow here due to the lack of employment in the community. Day labor is the most common form of odd jobs. The grandmother couldn't leave home to work and leave the children alone, so she started selling soft beans, taking out credit to sell at the local market.

How the church will sustain the Cause
The church would maintain a fairly significant help in terms of training, economic guidance and resource management, helping the development of different ventures, for a learning and appropriate application of each of these, through different workshops, courses and an advisor.
To proclaim the gospel of God's grace through the redemptive work of Christ as Savior and Lord to lost sinners regardless of age, sex, social class, or religion in order to reach them for the kingdom of God and thus their souls may be released from their spiritual poverty.
