The Amiguitos de Jesús Comprehensive Development Center serves 215 children and adolescents and their parents several days a week. This means that on those days they are served, they are provided with a snack, lunch, or some other mealtime. This has been difficult lately since the stove we have had for several years is damaged and in poor condition. This means that the food takes longer and requires more gas to cook completely. Only two burners work, making it difficult to have food for the children and adolescents on time, and sometimes neither burner lights, so they have had to find alternatives such as cooking with firewood in the Development Center's courtyard, which is impossible in rainy weather. We are seeking an industrial stove because the amount of food prepared is considered adequate. We could provide better care to the participants, serve them food on time, and prevent the children and adolescents from going hungry. We could continue cooking with all the love we have for them, but also with safety for our volunteers and participants.
