About the Cause
Posted by Samuel Student Center in El Salvador on 02/16/2026
Marcos is 15 years old and every afternoon he walks to the CDI (Child Development Center) full of dreams. He loves technology. He dreams of becoming an engineer someday. But when he arrives at his classroom at the CDI, the reality is different: the furniture is old and there are few technological tools for learning. One day he told us, "I wish our classrooms looked nicer than the ones at school... and that we had screens, computers, and nice tables to learn more." Our cause: an initiative to transform the CDI classrooms into modern, interactive, and inspiring spaces by installing technological equipment and functional, dignified furniture. Currently, our spaces lack technological resources and a suitable environment that stimulates learning. This cause will directly benefit 250 children and young people in our community. For many of our students, the CDI is the only place where they can reinforce their learning and develop new skills. A dignified and well-equipped environment not only improves academic performance, but also: Self-esteem Motivation Sense of belonging Vision for the future With this initiative, we hope for: More motivated and engaged children and young people Improved digital and academic skills Spaces that inspire pride and commitment Young people convinced that their dreams are possible By transforming a classroom, we don't just change four walls. We change perspectives. We change opportunities. We change futures.

How the church will sustain the Cause
Our church will sustain “One Classroom, a Thousand Opportunities” through a model of responsible management, preventative maintenance, and community engagement, without relying on new external donations. Preventive Maintenance Plan From the outset, we will establish a schedule for the care and maintenance of technological equipment and furniture. Training volunteers and staff in the proper use of screens and computers will reduce damage and extend their lifespan. Internal Sustainability Fund The church will allocate a small portion of its regular income (offerings, internal activities, and community events) for basic maintenance and upgrades. Technical Volunteer Team We have members of the congregation with technology and maintenance skills who can provide basic support, reducing external service costs. Responsible Use and a Culture of Care We will work with the 250 children and young people to foster a culture of responsibility, teaching them that caring for the spaces is also part of their development. Planned Gradual Upgrades Instead of relying on large future investments, we will make small, scheduled improvements as our internal budget allows. In this way, the cause will not be a temporary project, but a permanent commitment from our church to the education, development, and future of our community.
To be a church that reflects the love of Jesus towards the lost, the needy and those without hope, in order to bring about a change in their lives and in their families, through a personal and genuine encounter with Jesus Christ.
