About the Cause

One of the focuses of our church is to support participants with their school career. However, it is difficult for us to do this when we only have one computer for them to use when doing research or schoolwork. Most of our participants do not have a computer at home and must do their homework in places where they are charged for the use of computers, internet access, and printing costs. As a child development center, we are committed to helping youth excel in their studies and have a better future. However, there are times when they have to wait hours for the computer they're using to become available, or for one of our volunteers to lend them their computer. Furthermore, more than half of our volunteers don't have a computer at home, which means that when submitting lesson plans and completing other tasks, they have to wait for a computer to become available. That's why we are requesting six complete computers, including monitors, CPUs, keyboards, mice, desks, chairs, and Microsoft licenses. With this, we hope to better support children and young people by providing them with free access. We also hope to positively impact the work our volunteers do. We know that computers require maintenance, and we are committed to keeping them up-to-date to ensure their proper functioning.

What the church is contributing

Room to place the computers and desks, tutors who can be supporting and monitoring the participants.

How the church will sustain the Cause

The church commits to providing checkups and maintenance for the equipment, as we have a church member who could perform the maintenance as part of their offering to God. This way, we would ensure that the checkups are up-to-date so that the equipment lasts and is well-maintained. Likewise, the church commits to keeping up-to-date with the electricity bill and the renewal of Microsoft licenses. The church currently owns one printer, which is considered sufficient for the time being.
