About Guatemala

Guatemala’s name comes from an ancient Nahuatl Aztec word meaning “land of many trees.” This Central American country is rich in Indigenous heritage and stunning landscapes. Yet many communities face challenges such as poverty, malnutrition, and limited access to education.

THE MOVEMENT OF THE PROSTHESIS FINGERS.

PROSTHESIS DESIGN

We are grateful for the financial support of this cause. It has been a great help to the group of participants in the 3D Printing Lab's Learning Community program. These young people, since February 2025, have been developing their design skills via Zoom and have in-person sessions to conduct trial prints. There have also been in-person classes where measurements were taken for the prosthesis Cintia needs, with her actively participating in every step of the process. We have purchased 40 software licenses for the prosthesis design. So far, the learning experience has been enriching for the young people, but... It's especially inspiring to see the young people's enthusiasm for coming together to learn and help. The prosthesis was assembled, and we are in the final stage. Everyone is happy because the young people have grown in their design skills, and Cintia will have her prosthesis. On December 12, 2025, the prosthesis was delivered to Cintia, which will help her perform specific functions she couldn't do before. We are overjoyed to be able to help.
