Tortilla Stoves for 4 Mothers
About the Cause
In our community there is a lack of jobs for women without and education, but those women desire to work and support their families. The pandemic worsened this issue by creating job loss for many women who did have jobs. Our church saw this need and decided to train a group of mothers from the community on how to start their own small businesses. We wanted them to feel empowered to care for their families, and now they are ready to do that!
The mothers we trained want to sell tortillas in the community, but they can’t produce enough to be profitable without an industrial size stove. Our church is wanting to select 4 of these mothers who want this opportunity and provide them each with a stove and gas cylinder. We believe that helping these mothers will then improve their children’s quality of life by increasing the families’ incomes.
We would be able to purchase and distribute the stoves within one month of receiving the funding. After that, we will share photos and short updates about each of the mothers who benefited from this cause! To support one mother, it will cost Q4,000 (~$520 USD). We know this is a lot of money for one person, but we would be forever grateful if you could ask your family and friends to help you raise the cost to support one of these mothers.

DELIVERY OF STOVES FOR ENTREPRENEURIAL MOTHERS
We thank God for the provision of funds for the purchase of 4 industrial stoves, 4 tortilla stoves with their respective installation and gas, as well as 4 100 pound sacks of corn for each of our Mothers, who are currently starting a business of making tortillas, tamales, chuchitos and paches to support themselves in its economy. We currently see reflected in the mothers a desire to improve and they are supporting the economy of their home. We also extend our thanks to brother donors, who are doing their best to support the local economy, making these contributions to establish small businesses, which in the future will be even bigger. Thanks to all this, we are succeeding in giving greater opportunities for development to women who are within our community and its surroundings, in this way we are also achieving a better quality of life for our children and their families.
