Since the funding for our cause was secured, we have been taking steps to implement it effectively. Before constructing the ponds, we contacted a specialist to clarify all aspects of the project. It was at this point that a question arose: the initial plan, which was to build two ponds to facilitate water management, proved unfeasible because it would have resulted in prohibitively high water bills. Therefore, the suggestion was made to drill a well first, before constructing the ponds. Given the nature of the funds received, explicit authorization from Compassion officials was required before any further action could be taken. Consequently, the project could not begin on time, causing our implementation delay. Now that an agreement for drilling has been reached with the relevant authorities, we have issued a call for tenders, and a company has been selected to carry out the drilling work. They visited the site on November 11, 2025, to search for water sources, which proved successful. Drilling is scheduled to begin on Saturday, November 22, 2025. Immediately afterward, we will proceed with the construction and operation of the reservoirs.

The child and youth development center aims to lift beneficiaries out of poverty. We aim to practice fish farming, both to help train young people, thus creating jobs, and to contribute to the creation of income-generating activities, which will further improve the care of beneficiaries. To begin with, we want to build two ponds, and then expand production further with the income from the first sales.

How the church will sustain the Cause

To maintain a real impact of this cause and thus make it sustainable, we intend to expand our fish production capacity over the years. Thus, with two ponds to start with, we aim to increase to three ponds the following year, and reach six ponds by the third year of production. In addition, our ecclesiastical community is full of qualified technicians in construction and fish farming, which is a real asset for the continuation of the cause.
