Water for a Church Plant

About the Cause

Years ago, another nonprofit provided a water purification system for our church. Because our church has plenty of water, we sell it to people who can afford it and donate it to families or schools that cannot afford it. Since then, we have planted a new church in a region that does not have potable water. After building the church plant, that other organization has said they will install another water system, but the church plant doesn’t have a place to put the water system or a way to distribute the water. People in the community of the church plant have issues with stomach diseases because of drinking river water, so we know that bringing potable water to this community is very important. Therefore, we are requesting funds to build a room where the new water system can be installed. 100 families live in this neighborhood (800 people total) who usually carry water from the river and boil it first so they can drink it. We hope that this project will allow those families to benefit from the church plant’s water in the same way our community benefits from the water we have. The church plant also plans to sell the water to people who can afford it, and the profits from that will pay for the maintenance costs of the new water purification system. This project will take 8 months total because it includes construction which can change quickly based on the weather. We will keep you updated to the progress! Your support is helping us to do the construction of the room for the water system, as well as to purchase 200 water containers to easily distribute the water from the church to the families.
