Sustainable Water for the Church
About the Cause
Our community lacks water, especially in the summer.
As a church we built a well to supply our facilities with water, but we have no way to store the water long-term. The well, although a bit old, does produce water but it does not supply all that we require. We are considering the solution of storing water in cisterns and then pumping it to overhead tanks to distribute it throughout the church using gravity.
In the current water distribution system, the pump is old but it works. It is a one horsepower submersible pump with a 60 gallon hydropneumatics tank, and the well produces water for storage.
For the storage solution we need to get two plastic tanks of 7,000 liters, two pumps of one horsepower each, can be submersible or surface, with their respective 60 gallon hydropneumatics tank. That is two tanks, one for each pump, to raise the water to the aerial tanks to distribute by gravity.
Our current system has 13 years of operation, and we can extend the life of the well and the resource by using a storage system with the cisterns.
We want to guarantee and ensure the necessary water supply.
We are raising funds for the cost of 2 submersible or surface pumps of one (1) horsepower each, 2 hydropneumatics tanks of 60 gallons, 2 plastic cisterns of 7,000 liters each, and 2 tanks of 2,500 liters to be placed high and served by gravity.
Our church is very involved in this project and will provide the labor to dig the holes to place the cisterns that will go 3 to 3.5 meters underground. To protect and prevent sinking, the sides will be reinforced with columns and reinforced concrete slab.
The installation will allow the storage, supply and good administration of the water so indispensable for the proper functioning and prevention of diseases.
Although the water will not be delivered directly to the community, it will be purified and available for the children and families in the church building.

Sustainable water for the church
We want to thank the people who have supported the purchase of material for the water distribution project so that our church was possible. We have managed to acquire 2 water tanks of 10,000 liters and 2 of 2,500 liters, we were behind in the purchase since the materials went up in cost but thank God we were able to find a distributor that would improve the cost of material. What remains is to complete the construction of everything: the room where the water tanks will be found and open the holes in the ground to be able to bury some water tanks so that the water distribution is the best. Trusting in the Lord that it will be as soon as possible that we can complete this project.
