Children and families in this church community rely on natural water sources that run low or become contaminated depending on the season. When the water is unsafe, children get sick from drinking it. The need is simple and urgent: a dependable source of clean water for daily life. If funded, the community will have an improved water source and a filtration system that produces safe drinking water year-round. Children and families will no longer face the risk of illness from contaminated water. Community members will also gain practical knowledge about water conservation and hygiene. This project will give children and families clean water and build a community that knows how to protect it for the future.
10% is used for operating costs, enabling us to grow and expand our ability to offer Compassion Causes to more churches worldwide.

Parents and guardians of children volunteering

A committee of church leaders and family representatives will manage and maintain the water system on an ongoing basis. Community members will receive training on water source care, filter maintenance, and hygiene practices. Children and youth will participate in water source care and tree planting to build long-term awareness of natural resource stewardship. The community will also establish a small maintenance fund to cover future repairs and development, ensuring the system continues to serve families without outside funding.
