Nutritious food is a crucial factor in children's physical, intellectual, and emotional development. Children who receive sufficient nutrition are healthy and can learn to their full potential. However, a number of children in the remote Ban Racha community still face challenges accessing nutritious food because most families have limited incomes and rely on agriculture or wage labor. This means some families cannot consistently provide their children with sufficient protein.
The survey revealed that children in the community lack opportunities to consume sufficient protein sources such as eggs or meat. Promoting food sources within the community is therefore a key approach to creating food security for families. Raising laying hens is a suitable activity for the community context because it requires minimal space, low investment, and can provide continuous production. Chicken eggs are also a highly nutritious source of protein, ideal for promoting children's health.
Furthermore, the project helps children learn life skills and vocational skills through raising laying hens, fostering the concept of future food self-sufficiency.
Our vision is to promote holistic development of children and serve our community with love and dedication, growing strong together as one body in Christ—united in faith, purpose, and service.
