About the Cause
Posted by Centro De Estudios Ebenecer in Dominican Republic on 09/10/2025
Batey 6 is a rural community where most families work cutting sugarcane or in the fields. Because of this work, children consume a lot of sugar, and there is almost no education on how to care for their teeth. Many children already suffer from cavities, gum disease, and even lose their teeth very early. Going to the dentist is almost impossible. The nearest clinic is an hour away, and even if a family could afford the motorcycle ride, they wouldn't be able to afford the services. This is why most children grow up without dental care. With this Cause, we want to open a small dental office in our church. We will provide treatment and also teach families how to care for their teeth. Our church is donating money, equipment, and a team of health workers to get started. With your help, we can finish preparing the space and ensure the office remains open in the future. This office will not only serve Batey 6, but also other nearby communities that have the same needs. We want our children and young people to grow up healthy, smiling, and pain-free.

How the church will sustain the Cause
Our church has doctors, nurses, and healthcare workers ready to help in the office. We will use a small percentage of the church's funds each month to keep it running, and families from the community will also help when they come for care. This office will not only serve Batey, but will also become a place where children from more than nine nearby communities can receive dental care.
Provide all the necessary care to the children and teenagers in our community, preaching to them the gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, supporting them in all areas of their interests, and setting free them from poverty in the name of Jesus.
