There is a young girl in our church named Gift. She is musically gifted and loves to sing, but when she stands on stage to lead worship, she often lacks confidence. For her, music has mostly been about playing the correct notes, without yet understanding how worship can become prayer and an expression of love toward God. She has talent, but she is still growing in understanding the heart behind what she is doing. If this is not addressed, many young musicians like Gift may remain skilled in music but uncertain in worship leadership. They may know how to play instruments, but not how to work as a worship team, understand the meaning of songs, or lead others into worship with clarity and purpose. To build on what we have already started, our church will expand this into a structured worship training program for youth. We will strengthen their development through instrument masterclasses, band practice sessions that focus on teamwork, short teachings on the theology of worship, and real opportunities to serve in youth worship settings with guidance and feedback. Through this, we want to help young musicians grow from simply playing music into becoming worship leaders who understand both skill and heart.

How the church will sustain the Cause

Going forward, our church will continue developing these young worship leaders through ongoing practice opportunities beyond training sessions. We want to create space for them to grow through real ministry experiences, including guided worship leading in church gatherings and community-based music activities. We will encourage them to use their skills in outreach opportunities such as street music or community performances, helping them gain confidence while also sharing their gifts beyond the church walls. As they grow, they will also learn the importance of giving back and supporting ministry through their time, skills, and resources. Over time, this will form a self-developing worship community where young musicians are continuously trained, released into service, and then become mentors for the next generation, strengthening the worship life of the church for years to come.
