Tonkla is a cheerful child who loves coming to church every Sunday. He is part of a small but growing faith formation effort our church has already begun for children in this age group. This early work has shown us how important it is for children like Tonkla to have a strong foundation in God’s love as they begin to face questions and pressures from the wider world.
As children grow, many of them start to encounter voices and experiences that can confuse their understanding of faith. At this stage, what they need is not only knowledge about God, but a deeper and more personal confidence in who they are as His children. Without this, their faith can remain fragile when they begin to face outside influence from school, peers, or media.
To build on what we have already started, our church wants to expand this course into a more structured and consistent faith formation program for children like Tonkla. We will strengthen the way we guide them through interactive Bible storytelling, caring mentors who walk closely with each child, and practical activities that help them apply God’s truth in everyday life. We also want to expand the use of music, art, and creative expression so children can engage with faith in ways that feel natural to them.
Through this expansion, we want children like Tonkla not only to learn about God, but to grow into a deep and lasting confidence that they are loved, secure, and grounded in Him as they grow.
