We firmly believe that infrastructure is not just a physical space, but an active agent in the teaching and learning process. An attractive, organized, dynamic, and clean space projects a safe, caring, and inclusive environment where participants feel valued, motivated to explore, and open to receiving a well-rounded education. Our goal is for our classrooms to offer an environment that reduces stress and anxiety in children and adolescents, providing a haven of calm and security. We also aim to foster a sense of belonging and community, making participants want to attend and stay. Furthermore, we want to promote meaningful learning. The current furniture is worn, which affects participants' posture and limits teamwork. Updating the furniture will address these issues.
This project will benefit children and young people from 6 to 18 years old who participate in the project and seek support and resources for their homework. Many of their educational needs require technological resources. By having a multimedia classroom, young people will have a space to watch videos, access online resources, and improve their academic performance. Additionally, the classrooms will have a monitoring and surveillance system using cameras that will safeguard the safety of participants and ensure they feel known, loved, and protected. Expanding the equipment to other classrooms will allow us to reach participants more widely and broaden our vision of educational support not only to middle-school-aged children but also to those in higher education, such as high school and university. It would also be an opportunity to offer engaging, current, and interesting vocational workshops for young people in the future.
