Our highland community is transforming its coffee industry by shifting from selling raw cherries to producing high-value, processed coffee. By establishing a youth-led processing group, we are capturing the full value of our harvest locally.
Guided by experienced mentors, our youth team manages the entire process—purchasing cherries, implementing refined processing techniques (Washed, Natural, Honey), and ensuring rigorous quality control. This initiative creates a sustainable loop: farmers receive fair prices for their harvest, local youth develop specialized agricultural skills, and our community gains the independence to market a premium, unique product globally. Through this project, we are building a foundation for long-term economic resilience and professional growth within our community.
