About the Cause
Posted by TH0425 in Thailand on 03/25/2026
In this community, families already have space and a desire to raise pigs, but they do not yet have the resources to do it in a steady and growing way. One family has started raising pigs with the support of the church, and others are now ready to do the same. This Cause will help families and children begin raising pigs together by providing what is needed to get started and to grow. Families will be able to raise piglets, care for them, and sell them as a source of income. Children will learn alongside their parents, gaining practical skills that they can carry into the future. Through this work, families will have a way to support themselves more consistently. Children will learn responsibility through daily care of the animals and will spend their time in a way that builds discipline and cooperation. Families will also grow stronger as they work together and support one another. This Cause is needed so that families can move from having only space and interest to having a reliable way to earn income and build a more stable future.

How the church will sustain the Cause
The church has already supported one family in raising pigs, and this experience will guide the expansion to more families. As families begin raising pigs together, they will continue to build their knowledge and pass on what they learn to others in the community. Over time, families will be able to sustain and grow their pig farming through the sale of piglets. As herds expand, they will be able to reinvest in their own pig housing and feed, allowing the work to continue without ongoing outside support. Because families and children will be directly involved, the skills and responsibility developed through this work will remain within the community and continue to benefit future generations.
