Children in the community currently face limited access to safe, pesticide-free food and few opportunities for practical vocational learning. This project introduces egg-laying ducks as a simple, sustainable solution that addresses both needs at the same time. We have started this with a few families but want to expand it. This Cause will provide ducks and everything they need for duck rearing for 20 families and their children. The ducks will provide a steady source of nutritious food that supports children’s growth and daily wellbeing. Families can use the eggs directly at home, improving food security in a practical and consistent way. When production exceeds household needs, the surplus eggs will be sold to generate income that supports school-related costs and basic family needs. Children are directly involved in caring for the ducks, which builds responsibility, routine, and early understanding of how small resources can create value. This approach also creates a more structured daily rhythm. Children stay engaged in meaningful activity, learn respect for living resources, and gain confidence through hands-on learning that connects directly to family life.
