The cafe is a church-led initiative designed to provide underprivileged youth with a space to develop vocational and entrepreneurial skills. It will be a hands-on learning center where youth will gain practical experience in coffee preparation, service, inventory management, and cost management, alongside life skills taught by mentors from the church. Targeting vulnerable youth from impoverished families, the project addresses a pressing need for skills and opportunities, not just financial support. Youth will have a safe environment where they feel valued, learn responsibility, and build confidence. The cafe will also serve as a bridge to long-term careers, helping youth reduce risks such as unemployment, exposure to drugs, or criminal activity. Mentors will guide them throughout the process, creating pathways for personal growth, self-esteem, and future professional opportunities. Youth will be recruited for intensive training from experts and church mentors, then gain supervised, hands-on experience in the cafe. Proceeds will be reinvested into a revolving fund to sustain operations and provide stipends for the youth, supporting their learning and development. Through this approach, the cafe will create a lasting impact by equipping youth with market-relevant skills and fostering independence, dignity, and confidence.
