How the church will sustain the Cause

The Weaving and Natural Dyeing Skills Project aims for a profound and lasting impact on children and youth in remote areas by prioritizing education, vocational skills, and the preservation of local wisdom. By focusing on traditional handicraft skills, such as weaving and natural dyeing, the project not only enriches the community's unique identity but also utilizes locally sourced materials to create sustainable products that can generate income for participants. To ensure sustainable impact, the project addresses the immediate barriers faced by children and youth at our church, particularly the lack of access to vocational learning opportunities. By providing a comprehensive learning platform, participants will acquire essential skills in fiber preparation, weaving, natural dyeing, and product design. This hands-on training equips them with the necessary tools to become financially independent. The project’s long-term plan includes creating ongoing income opportunities through the production of marketable handicrafts, thus alleviating poverty within the community.
