In our community, there is currently no proper cafeteria for children participating in church activities. During meal times, children often eat under trees or on the ground without tables, chairs, or a designated space. The food preparation area is also very basic, with simple structures made from bamboo or wood and an unpaved ground, which makes it difficult to maintain cleanliness and hygiene. It also makes it difficult to connect and fellowship with others their age because everyone is so spread out.
Our church recognizes that this is not a suitable environment for children. We want to provide them with a safe, clean, and hygienic cafeteria where they can eat comfortably and with dignity. This includes a proper building with cement flooring, brick walls, a roof, tables, chairs, and a simple kitchen area.
Beyond being a place for meals, the cafeteria will also become a learning space where children can observe and practice basic cooking and baking skills. This creates an environment where daily life and learning come together in a practical way.
Once completed, children and youth will no longer need to eat on the ground. Instead, they will have a safe and welcoming space that supports their health, learning, and overall development. This will help build a stronger foundation for their growth and future contribution to the community.
Our church exists to be a light to others.
