Fence-related issues can be categorized into four key areas: structural, environmental, functional, and social concerns. Structural problems—such as leaning, cracking, or separation—pose the most serious safety risks and may lead to collapse if not addressed. Environmental factors, including rust, wood decay, and mold, contribute to gradual deterioration and reduced durability. Functional issues, such as low or poorly designed fences and malfunctioning gates, impact security, privacy, and usability. Additionally, unclear boundaries, unresolved modifications, and overgrown vegetation can lead to disputes with neighbors. Together, these challenges affect safety, property value, and community harmony, highlighting the importance of proper design, maintenance, and communication.

Church Volunteer Repair Team A team of volunteers—such as youth and church members—will be formed to support ongoing maintenance. Initial funds will be used to purchase basic repair tools, which will be stored at the church. When minor issues arise (e.g., peeling paint or stiff hinges), the team can respond quickly, preventing further damage and reducing long-term maintenance costs.
