Nine children will sleep in their own beds, away from risks that are not appropriate for their age.
Some children at our child development center don't have a safe place to sleep. Some sleep on beds with exposed metal and springs, others share the space with adults, cousins, or aunts and uncles, and some sleep in the middle of their parents' marital relationship. These nine children face this reality every night: without their own space, without the protection they deserve, and with bodies that don't get the rest they need to grow properly.
With their own bed in good condition, these children will have restful sleep that will allow them to wake up in a better mood and learn more clearly. They will no longer be exposed to situations inappropriate for their age, and their bodies will develop without the risk of spinal injuries. Each child will know they have a space that belongs to them.
Safe and dignified rest is the starting point for these children to grow up protected and with the strength they need to thrive.
