The Ban Mae Ha Tai Church Child and Youth Development Project has a long-standing mission to cultivate basic skills, morality, and community development among local children and youth. With consistent support from partners and sponsors, the project effectively implements educational activities, life skills training, and community service, leading to significant improvements for the youth.
Historically, the project and church have focused on strengthening the community and promoting public awareness and responsibility. However, waste management remains a persistent issue that affects public health and the environment.
Despite organizing quarterly waste collection activities involving children, youth, parents, community leaders, and teachers, these efforts have not been sustainable due to inadequate waste management infrastructure, including a lack of standardized trash cans and suitable landfills for the growing waste volume.
The project is dedicated to addressing this challenge by developing a sustainable waste management system and fostering shared responsibility for a healthier future for children and the community.
