Children and youth are a valuable resource for the development of our society. Access to adequate clean drinking water is fundamental to their health, growth, and learning. In Thailand, 99.8 percent of households have access to a home-based drinking water source or other resources.
However, challenges remain regarding water quality, untreated water, and improper storage and consumption practices, which can contribute to more than 2.5 cases of childhood diarrhea per year in children under 2 years of age in areas without adequate water supply.
Therefore, this project focuses on providing clean drinking water and fostering proper drinking habits in children and youth to promote a brighter future, a healthier future, and reduce barriers to health and learning.
Expectations:
1. Significantly reduce the incidence of diarrhea and diseases associated with unclean water among children in the project area.
2. Develop clean drinking habits in children, such as drinking water at the beginning of the school day and providing personal water bottles in easily accessible locations.
3. Communities and schools can manage their own sustainable clean drinking water, such as water filtration systems and water storage at schools and homes, ensuring children have daily access.
The church has the incredible potential to be a blessing to society by nurturing hearts, inspiring positive change, and sharing God's love with all.
