Computer Science Project Update

Date Posted: 07/03/2026

We hope you are all doing well and that God's grace is always with you. Here I'm showing you part of the process behind our project to create a tech-focused environment for young people and teenagers where they can learn about the new digital age and stay up to date. We are in the final stages of completion; here’s not much left to do before we can fully launch the program to study and improve our tech knowledge. Thank you very much for your help in making this achievement possible, which will help many young people.

About the Cause

Divino Maestro Student Center

Posted by Divino Maestro Student Center in Dominican Republic on 09/16/2025

Our center is located in a low-income rural community where many children and young people lack access to technology and therefore lack the skills to use it for their own benefit, such as building knowledge to complete homework projects. As a center, we believe that in these times we live in, it is important for children and young people to learn how to use basic computer programs. This motivates them to pursue basic goals and ultimately pursue future careers in technical fields and advanced technological knowledge. Furthermore, this will help them secure better employment in the future and generate income to support their parents in the household and cover their personal expenses. Our center has a computer lab, but unfortunately, the ones we have are very old and completely damaged, making them unusable. Therefore, we need help to purchase new computers so we can continue teaching our classes to our teens.

How the church will sustain the Cause

We would try to select volunteers, both from the church and from those who are qualified, choosing those best qualified to teach. We would also organize activities to raise money for equipment maintenance and to purchase new equipment.
