About the Cause

In our project, children currently do not have a proper place to eat. Many of them sit under trees or in open areas, and the space for preparing and storing food is not well organized. This affects cleanliness, hygiene, and the overall quality of daily care the children receive. If this is addressed, children will be able to eat in a clean and comfortable space where food is prepared safely and meals are shared in an organized way. This will improve their health, reduce hygiene risks, and create a more stable and caring environment that supports both their physical and emotional well-being. To respond to this need, our church wants to build a canteen that will serve as a dedicated space for meals and food preparation. This will allow children to eat together in a safe and orderly environment, while also improving how food is handled, stored, and served. Through this, we want to strengthen daily care for the children and create a healthier and more dignified environment for their growth.

How the church will sustain the Cause
Going forward, our church will manage the canteen as a permanent part of our children’s care system. We will take responsibility for maintaining the space so it remains clean, functional, and safe for daily use. The church community will share responsibility in caring for the canteen, including maintaining cleanliness, organizing its use, and ensuring that it continues to serve the children well over time. By using local support and simple maintenance practices, the canteen can continue operating without requiring ongoing external funding. Over time, this will become a stable part of the children’s daily life, supporting their health, strengthening routine and care, and continuing to serve both the church and the wider community.
