A grandmother and five children will be able to sleep and bathe safely in their own home.
This is the story of a family in our community. We spoke with the grandmother, and she shared their needs with us. There are six people living together: two boys, two girls, one 23-year-old adult. The grandmother is 58 years old and cannot work, and their resources are very limited. The state of their home prevents them from resting peacefully or bathing safely, especially the children. The children live with their grandmother because their parents left them. The house needs doors, as there are none in the bedrooms or the bathroom. The roof needs repair, and windows need to be installed.
With this issue addressed, the grandmother and her family will be able to rest without worry and bathe safely. The children will be happier and safer in their own home.
This family deserves to live with the peace of mind that comes from knowing their home is a safe place for everyone.
