We want to purchase two bunk beds with their mattresses so the children of a family can sleep in better conditions. Currently, the five children all sleep together in a single bed, which affects their well-being and sleep quality. This family lives in a low-income community, located 3 kilometers from the main avenue, with dirt roads. The houses in this community are made of zinc, wood, and dirt floors. The community lacks basic services such as public transportation, drinking water, electricity, and telephone service. The community also faces a severe lack of income opportunities. People must go out of the community to work informally to cover household needs. Claudia, a woman who lost her sister to cancer, lives in this community. She now cares for her sister's five children, as well as her own child and one on the way. Claudia doesn't have the resources to purchase multiple beds, so all the children sleep together in one bed.
10% is used for operating costs, enabling us to grow and expand our ability to offer Compassion Causes to more churches worldwide.

Claudia and the community will continue to care for the beds and space and seek local support to maintain the children's well-being. Once the bunks are purchased, no more funding will be needed. Our church will continue to support the family with visits, prayer, and practical help such as repairs or donations. We are also helping Claudia learn skills to generate income on her own.
