Stories from the Heart: "Healing with Love" for Strong Communities This cause aims to create "local healing leaders" who can reach those experiencing emotional trauma and utilize the correct process for timely healing. This provides a second chance for vulnerable youth and families to regain mental health without relying on outside experts. What is the course? The Community Trauma Healing Leaders Course will create a sustainable network of primary caregivers addressing the growing mental health crisis, such as the high rate of suicide in youth, high-risk families, and the lack of leaders with specialized healing processes. Target Audience – Vulnerable youth, at-risk families, and those with depression – Youth leaders, church leaders, and village health volunteers – a total of 25 leaders who will be providing healing. Methodology Train 25 leaders through a healing manual, emphasizing practical training. Visit at-risk families and screen for problems. Conduct a step-by-step healing process. Follow up through family mission groups to ensure sustainable care. Expected Outcomes Leaders will have skills to help others, at-risk families receive healing, reduce violence, reduce youth suicide risk, and establish a self-sufficient community mental health care system. Reasons for Support Needed After over 17 years of youth development, our community is facing severe trauma from family, drug, and economic issues. Building healing leaders is a way to bring lasting hope to this remote community through comprehensive care and ongoing monitoring.

How the church will sustain the Cause
This project will continue without additional external funding by leveraging existing community resources and partnerships. Trained leaders will provide ongoing support to vulnerable youth and families, creating a self-sustaining network of care. The church will coordinate the program using its current personnel and space, while collaborating with partner organizations, such as local hospitals or mental health professionals, who can provide guidance and occasional training. Volunteers and community members will actively support activities, from organizing workshops to helping with follow-ups, sharing responsibility and leadership. Practical systems will be put in place, including clear schedules, mentorship structures, and accessible guidance materials, to ensure that trained leaders can consistently deliver support. Creative approaches, like brainstorming sessions for low-cost activities and community-based workshops, will maximize engagement without requiring a large budget. Through this combination of trained local leaders, volunteer support, and systematic processes, the program will remain operational and effective long-term, empowering the community to care for its own people while building a culture of hope and emotional resilience.
