Sop Mae Daed Village is a medium-sized community comprising approximately 40 households that faces significant challenges in accessing safe and sufficient water for daily consumption. Although the village is located near natural water sources, these sources cannot reliably meet community needs throughout the year. During the dry season, water levels decrease substantially, leading to inadequate water supply. Conversely, during the rainy season, water becomes highly turbid and unsuitable for direct consumption without proper settling and treatment. To address these challenges, the installation of household water storage tanks is urgently needed. The tanks will enable families to store water for future use, provide time for sedimentation of turbid water, and ensure a more reliable supply for drinking, cooking, and other domestic purposes. This intervention will strengthen household water security, reduce economic burdens, improve health outcomes, and promote greater community harmony.

The village has prepared the construction site for the water storage tanks and will provide local labor support during installation.
Community members participated in preparing tank installation sites and establishing the water supply system, demonstrating strong ownership and support for the project's long-term sustainability.

A maintenance fee of 500 baht per household is collected annually from members to cover the upkeep and maintenance of equipment, as well as providing stipends for those who oversee the village's water system. Training is also provided on how to properly maintain the water tanks for long-term use.
