Selling secondhand clothes to support the family

Urgent

THE NEED

A single mother who has made it on her own will be able to expand her business and provide stability for her two daughters.

WHY IT MATTERS

A mother who sells secondhand clothing. She says this business was born out of necessity. Her beginnings were very difficult because her partner at the time, the father of her daughter, fell into drug addiction. He spent everything he earned on drugs, and the household became completely unbalanced. Seeing this situation, she decided it was time to find a way out: she took out a loan and started her own business. The business faced more obstacles because her ex-partner kept stealing her money. Finally, she decided to separate from him, move, and start over, but this time without the fear of who would support her, because she now had her own business.

With a wider variety of items to sell, she will be able to grow her business and offer clothing and supplies that the community needs without having to go elsewhere to find them. Her two daughters will have a mother with a more stable income and more opportunities within their own community.

She has difficult days, but she says that with faith and hard work, anything is possible.
