About the Cause

In our community, there is a group of talented young footballers, especially Nong P, who dreams of becoming a professional footballer. Despite his family's poverty and lack of basic equipment—a hard dirt field, tight shoes, and old footballs—he continues to practice daily with unwavering dedication. While many children lack opportunities or constructive activities, their free time can lead to drug abuse. Sports, particularly football, offer a crucial opportunity to help children set goals, develop discipline, improve their health, and stay away from drugs. The “Fulfilling Footballer Dreams” project was established to address both the lack of sports equipment and the wasteful use of free time. We will raise funds to purchase standard football equipment such as new footballs, cones, vests, goals, and nets, so that youth aged 6-18, especially those from low-income families and areas at risk of drug abuse, can train properly and consistently with volunteer coaches. We hope that this equipment will be a “tool to realize dreams” for the children in our community, helping them develop their football skills, build discipline and teamwork, and pave the way for a bright future, keeping them away from drugs and enabling them to become “good, outstanding, talented, and high-quality” athletes, just like the dreams of this young man.

The church supports the essential expenses of the football aspiring players program, such as training equipment, facility maintenance, and youth activities, to ensure the project's continued operation. Community volunteer involvement: The project leverages the power of volunteers such as alumni, parents, and community leaders, thus reducing personnel costs, while coaches, mentors, and physiotherapists are compensated on a controlled, fixed-rate basis. Community fundraising activities: The church plans annual events such as special offerings, charity runs, community markets, and charity football matches to generate income for the project without relying on additional external funding. Partnerships with local businesses: The church strengthens partnerships with local businesses and educational institutions that are willing to provide non-monetary resources such as equipment, training grounds, or training. Through these approaches, the project can remain stable, sustainable, and beneficial to youth and the community in the long term.
