Our cause is to combat school dropout and illiteracy among children and adolescents aged 9 to 14 in situations of social vulnerability in the city of Paulo Ramos, Maranhão. Many of them are unable to read or write independently, which leads to insecurity, poor academic performance and, often, dropping out of school. These young people need this cause because access to reading and writing is essential for personal, social and professional development, in addition to being a basic right. Without this foundation, they are condemned to repeat cycles of poverty and exclusion. We will implement this cause through the “Letras que Transformam” project, which combines literacy and musicalization. The proposal includes an initial assessment, personalized classes, reading workshops, creative writing and activities with musical instruments such as keyboards, ukuleles and electronic drums, and singing lessons. With the support of qualified teachers, teaching materials and musical instruments, the project will provide a dynamic and stimulating learning environment. The assessment will be ongoing, adjusting the classes according to the progress of each participant. In addition, we will involve families and the community, creating a support network that favors the integral development of children and adolescents. By offering a quality education, our cause will help these young people overcome their reading and writing difficulties, guaranteeing more opportunities and a more dignified future.
10% is used for operating costs, enabling us to grow and expand our ability to offer Compassion Causes to more churches worldwide.

The sustainability of the impact of this cause, even without external funding, will be guaranteed by the church's ongoing commitment to its mission of promoting the integral development of children and adolescents as a practical expression of the gospel. To this end, we will mobilize internal resources through volunteerism among our members, strengthening the culture of service and donation of talents, time, and materials. We will also seek local partnerships with small business owners, independent professionals, and institutions that share the same values, building a community support network that does not depend exclusively on financial resources. In addition, the church is already part of councils and social networking spaces, which favors the maintenance of partnerships with the government, schools, and protection agencies. We will continue to promote mobilization events such as charity fairs, charity dinners, and sponsorship campaigns, creating constant channels for engagement and fundraising. The vision is to form a solid base of local support, where the community recognizes the importance of the work carried out and becomes co-responsible for it. Finally, we will invest in the ongoing training of the volunteer team, optimizing existing resources and adapting activities to the real possibilities of the context. Faith drives us to persevere, and with creativity, commitment and prayer, we believe it is possible to maintain and even expand the impact of this cause for the glory of God.
