About the Cause

In our community, many children spend most of their time on phones or inside the home, with limited opportunities for safe outdoor play. At the same time, there is no proper playground space within the church, and the available land is uneven and not suitable for safe use. Because of this, children sometimes play in unsafe areas, which increases the risk of accidents and limits their ability to grow through active play. If this is addressed, children will have a safe and consistent place to play where they can develop physical strength, coordination, and confidence. They will also have more opportunities to interact with others, learn teamwork, and build healthy relationships, supporting both their emotional and social development. To respond to this, our church will develop a safe playground by preparing the land through leveling and drainage, and installing age-appropriate equipment designed for durability and safety. This space will be created not only for play, but as a shared environment where children, parents, and the community can gather, strengthening connection and supporting healthy development in everyday life.

How the church will sustain the Cause
This playground will be cared for as a shared responsibility within the church and community rather than a one-time construction project. A small team made up of church leaders, parents, and community members will oversee its use, safety, and upkeep. Regular checks will be built into the rhythm of church life, with simple maintenance handled early to prevent larger repairs later. Support for the playground will come from within the community through small contributions, church activities, and shared effort, allowing the space to remain active without depending on outside funding. Parents and youth will also take part in caring for the space, helping build a sense of ownership and respect for the environment. Over time, the playground will continue to function as a daily gathering place where children grow, families connect, and the church remains closely involved in the life and well-being of the community.
