About the Cause
Posted by TH0330 in Thailand on 05/15/2026
Situated in a mountainous area, our community depends on untreated water from mountain springs for daily use. This water is directly piped into homes and stored in village tanks without filtration or sterilization. During the rainy season, the water becomes visibly contaminated, forcing families to delay usage until sediments settle. By installing a coin-operated water dispenser with a reliable filtration system, we can ensure access to safe drinking water for children and their families. This initiative will not only improve health and well-being but also create a sustainable source of income, with proceeds supporting ongoing children’s ministry and community care.

What the church is contributing
Physical Resources
The project will utilize local well water for concrete mixing. Construction will take place on land owned by the church, where the building is situated. Timber will be used as the primary material for construction
Human Resources
The project will be supported by engineers who are members of our church, while we work closely with the local government to obtain required permits. The church’s men’s group will actively assist in carrying out all construction tasks.
Financial Resources
$155
How the church will sustain the Cause
The church will sell clean water to generate a stable source of income to cover operational expenses, including equipment and minor repairs. In the event that the water dispenser requires maintenance, the church will seek local solutions where possible or gradually set aside funds for repairs. This approach promotes financial sustainability while reducing long-term reliance on external support. Additionally, the skills and systems developed through this project can support other church activities, allowing the impact to grow organically within the community
