The community faces a serious shortage of water for drinking and daily use. During the rainy season, runoff carries soil and debris into local water sources, making the water cloudy and unsafe. The community’s steep, mountainous terrain also increases the risk of landslides, which can damage water sources, storage facilities, and distribution systems. These disruptions leave children and families without a reliable supply of clean water and increase the risk of illness, especially when contaminated water is used for drinking and cooking.
To address these challenges, the project will promote access to safe drinking water and reduce health risks for children and their families. It will also strengthen and improve community water sources through better storage and management, and repair systems damaged by landslides. These efforts will help ensure that children, youth, and community members have a more stable and sufficient supply of clean water.
To develop children to grow in a balanced way—physically, mentally, intellectually, socially, and spiritually—with Christ as the center. The goal is for children to be good people, happy, have faith, and be a blessing to others, capable of supporting themselves using the skills and professions they learn at the Church Child Development Center.
