For our community, the fish pond is more than an agricultural project—it is a cornerstone of nutrition and economic stability for 50 underprivileged children. Building upon a proven pilot program where we successfully produced fish for both student meals and community income, we have identified a critical need to transition from temporary solutions to permanent infrastructure. Our previous trial using a plastic-lined canal demonstrated the high potential for success, but damage from pests exposed the need for a more robust, durable design. By constructing a permanent, concrete-block facility, we will secure a stable food source and a consistent revenue stream, transforming a vulnerable project into a sustainable engine for youth development. This transition is a vital investment in the long-term health and independence of the children we serve.
