About the Cause

Manuel is going into 8th grade, and our church has identified him as a bright student who wants to continue his education, but cannot currently afford the full tuition fees. Because we know that having an education is an important factor for future employment and security, we want to provide him with a scholarship for this next year of schooling that starts in January of 2022.

In Guatemala, the school year is 10 months long. Middle school is 3 years long, and high school is either 2 or 3 years depending on the type of classes. Our church has seen that once students are given grants for high school, they are encouraged and often continue on to college. We have also noticed that their families will help pay for their school fees.

We would like to provide a scholarship of Q3,000 (~$390) to Manuel . This scholarship could change his trajectory, as currently a full education is not a privilege all students have. We believe wholeheartedly that he will go on do to wonderful things in our community, and we want to invest in empowering him to do just that!

We know that the cost of the schooling year is still expensive for one person or family, but maybe you could ask your friends, family members, or church family to help pay for the cost together? We are so grateful for any support you can provide, even if it is just your prayers.
