Do you feel secure in your home? Do you have doors, a solid roof and windows? We want to ensure this family in the Dominican Republic has a safe home environment, especially the 4 children. I am volunteering with a team of Compassion Advocacy Partners to raise funds to improve the home for this family of six. Their home prevents them from resting peacefully or bathing safely as they have no doors for bedrooms or the bathroom and no windows. Will you join us to meet our goal by October 31?

This is the story of a family in our community. We spoke with the grandmother, and she shared their needs with us. There are six people living together: two boys, two girls, one 23-year-old adult. The grandmother is 58 years old and cannot work, and their resources are very limited. The state of their home prevents them from resting peacefully or bathing safely, especially the children. The children live with their grandmother because their parents left them. The house needs doors, as there are none in the bedrooms or the bathroom. The roof needs repair, and windows need to be installed. With this issue addressed, the grandmother and her family will be able to rest without worry and bathe safely. The children will be happier and safer in their own home. This family deserves to live with the peace of mind that comes from knowing their home is a safe place for everyone.
